Ron Orr Named New Executive Director

The MUSIC Board of Directors has selected Ron Orr as the next Executive Director of the MUSIC program. Ron has served as Chief Financial Officer of Pattonville School District since 2002. He spent four years as an Accounting Manager at Washington University in St. Louis and five years in private practice before joining Pattonville. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations through the International Association of School Business Officials. He is the past President of MoASBO and was the Chair of the MoASBO Legislative committee for ten years. Ron has received numerous awards during his professional career, including the Eagle and Pinnacle Awards – Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) and the Missouri Association of School Business Officials (MoASBO) Business Official of the year. Ron has been a member of the MUSIC Board of Directors since 2014 and has served as Treasurer since joining the Board.

The MUSIC Board of Directors is very optimistic that Ron’s professional experience, certifications, and leadership qualities are an excellent fit for the Executive Director position. The program should continue to flourish and advance to new levels under his tutelage. Ron will officially begin his duties on July 1, 2022, and transition into the position in the months to follow.
